After breakfat tranfer to the northeast coast of Sri Lanka is home to Trincomalee, one of the most prominent ramayana sites in the country. According to the Ramayana epic, Lord Rama halted here on his way back to Ayodhya with Sita to see the Thiru Koneshwaram temple. The Ramayana Yatra in Sri Lanka is closely related to the Thirukoneswaram Temple, a complex of traditional, medieval Hindu temples in Trincomalee, the eastern capital of Sri Lanka.
One of the attractions you must see in the heart of Trincomalee is the Pathirakali Amman Hindu Temple. At the Pathirakali Amman Temple, goddess Bhadrakali, the beneficent form of goddess Kali Amman, is worshipped.
After breakfast, head to the ancient ruin of Sigiriya, popularly known as the Lion's Rock, is surrounded by gardens, ponds, and other buildings. King Kassapa built Sigiriya, which is now a UNESCO-listed World Heritage site.
In addition, this world-famous rock fortress is linked to the Ramayana. On the ceiling of the Cobra Hooded Cave near Sigiriya, there are numerous prehistoric paintings. It is believed that the Naguliya Cave in Sigiriya was one of the locations in Sri Lanka where Ravana took Seetha Devi hostage.
The Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple, , is a live Buddhist site with a sequence of five cave shrines and best-preserved cave temple complex with 153 Buddha statues.
Kandy, also known as Maha Nuwara, is the Central Province's capital. Kandy is well-known as a destination for pilgrims since it is home to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The last capital of the Sinhala kings was Kandy. The city of Kandy is rich in culture, history, and personality. The town is surrounded by some stunning mountains, making it a popular tourist destination for visitors who wish to take in the island's natural beauty as well as its vibrant and diverse culture.

Continue your scenic drive through tea-carpeted slopes and lush countryside, reaching Bentota by late afternoon. Check in at your beach resort and relax by the Indian Ocean after days of exploring the sacred hills. Enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by tropical charm.
