Detailed Trip Plan

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Surabi Lanka Travels. After a warm welcome, you will be escorted to your hotel in Negombo, a charming seaside town located just 30 km from the airport.

Check in and relax after your flight. The rest of the day is free for you to unwind by the beach, explore Negombo’s fishing village, visit the Dutch Canal, or simply enjoy the sunset with a refreshing coconut drink.

After breakfast, depart for Habarana, located in the heart of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle. Upon arrival, experience an authentic village tour, where you’ll enjoy a traditional bullock cart ride, cross a lake on a catamaran, and savor home-cooked rice & curry lunch served on a lotus leaf.

In the afternoon, embark on an exciting jeep safari in Minneriya National Park, famous for the Gathering the largest meeting of wild Asian elephants during the dry season. Capture incredible moments of elephants, sambar deer, monkeys, and water birds in their natural environment.

After an early breakfast, visit the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century. Climb the 1,200 steps to the summit and explore ancient frescoes, mirror walls, and the stunning royal gardens that surround the rock citadel.

Your experienced tracker will guide you through the park’s best photography spots and animal habitats. Packed meals will be served during the day to allow you to stay within the park for optimal sightings.

After breakfast, depart for Mirissa, a picturesque coastal town on Sri Lanka’s southern shore. Directly go to Galle, a UNESCO World Heritage City famous for its Dutch-built Galle Fort, cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, and boutique shops.

Take a leisurely walking tour of Galle Fort, enjoy lunch at a seaside café, and capture beautiful photos of the lighthouse and ramparts and continue to Mirissa.

Check in at your beach resort and spend the evening relaxing by the ocean.

Early morning, embark on an unforgettable whale watching cruise in the Indian Ocean. Mirissa is one of the world’s best locations to spot Blue Whales, Sperm Whales, and Spinner Dolphins. Keep your camera ready for incredible shots of these majestic creatures breaching the surface.
